August 5: Kathmandu University School of Management (KUSOM) is organizing the KUSOM Job and Internship Fair (KJIF) at the college premises on August 20 this year.
According to the organiser, Beed Management, Deer Walk Institute of Technology, Gorkha Brewery, Movers and Shakers, Panchakanya Group, Samsung India are some of the companies who have confirmed their participation for the annual flagship event of KUSOM, which brings together students of KUSOM and corporate houses for job placement.
Since its initiation in 2011, the event has been receiving overwhelming response from leading national and multinational companies every year, KUSOM said in a statement.
“The event has been able to achieve its mission of establishing right connections with the industry which is being reflected in the success rate of placements and feedback given by companies about the event,” the statement said, adding, “Last year, KJIF 2018 was conducted as a two-day event to cater to the demand of ever growing participation of leading companies in the fair.”
The fair, according to KUSOM, witnessed the participation of as many as 52 companies—some of them being Unilever, Nabil Bank, Siddhartha Bank, MAW, Panchakanya Group, Kathmandu Guest House (KGH), Daraz, OYO, NIC Asia Capital, Chaudhary Group, Beed Management, Global IME Bank, Mero Job, Laxmi Group, Sipradi, Teach For Nepal, Urban Girl, and Berger.
KUSOM claimed that more than 170 students of BBA, MBA, and BBIS students were interviewed last year resulting in a record number of placements.
