September 22: The sixth edition of Newbiz Business Conclave and Awards will be held in the capital this Friday, September 27. The conclave this year is being held on the eve of the Visit Nepal 2020 campaign with the theme ‘Tourism to Prosperity: Sharing Best Practices’. Participants from Mekong, Laos, Bhutan and Nepal will share their experiences during the conclave.

Mekong Tourism’s CEO Jens Thraenhart, Bhutan’s tourism entrepreneur Sonam Jatso, Deputy Director General of Lao Tourism Marketing Bounlap Deuangphoumy and President of Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) Srijana Rana will make presentations during the conclave.

A separate panel discussion will also be held during the event.

Experts say that the progress made by Mekong in the tourism sector is worth analysing as it started the hospitality business much later than Nepal but has made a giant stride.

Nepal also needs to learn lessons from Bhutan’s booming tourism sector, which is at its peak.

The best companies operating in Nepal and entrepreneurs will be awarded in nine different categories during the award ceremony. Winners of all the nine categories, including the Lifetime Achievement in Business Leadership Award, have been finalized by a panel of judges. The jury of selection committee included independent experts.
