Clean up Nepal Launches Nepal Waste Map

October 3: Clean up Nepal, a non-profit organization which has been involved in educating and empowering communities and locals towards clean and healthy Nepal since 2014, launched the Nepal Waste Map amid a recent function in the capital.

According to Clean up Nepal, the newly launched map is a complete digital waste management solution that is built to bring accountability and establish synergy and communication between stakeholders to improve waste management services.

Nepal Waste Map is an initiative of Clean up Nepal developed in partnership with The Asia Foundation and Development Initiatives. It is supported by the Data for Development program funded by DFID-UK.

Cleam up Nepal said the data-driven project is user-friendly in nature and convenient to use. It involves the participation of the public and is effective in monitoring and is solution-oriented. Clean up Nepal has been involved with Nepal Waste Map since 2017 when key research was conducted on the solid waste management in the Kathmandu valley.

The launch of the Nepal Waste Map highlights the importance of the web dashboard and mobile application in order to manage the solid waste in the Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
