Niruta Shrestha Crowned Winner of Spinz Active Girl 2020

February 27: Niruta Shrestha of Texas International College was declared the winner of Spinz Active Girl for 2020 contest on Tuesday (February 25).

Priyanka Mandal of Himalayan White House International College finished second while Komal Dhakal of Subhashree College secured the third position in the contest organized by Spinz, an emerging brand in women’s grooming products in Nepal.

Around 1000 participants from 16 colleges in Kathmandu took part in the contest, according to the organiser. One finalist from each of the 16 colleges was shortlisted for the grand finale.

The organizers said in a statement that the contestants were evaluated on the basis of their Active Quotient and their enthusiastic outlook to life.

“Alongside, a digital campaign was run wherein girls were invited to share their stories of an active and healthy living. This campaign too, got stupendous response and a couple of winners chosen through the social media channels were given a wild card entry to compete with the 16 other contestants,” the statement said.

The finals of the event had a thrilling finish with a treasure hunt in the iconic Patan Darbar Square at Patan. This hunt saw them the girls seek clues and perform tasks in a high-adrenaline race to win the Spinz Active Girl title.

The winners were felicitated by former Miss Nepal World Sadiccha Shrestha.

In a celebration of women achievers of Nepal “who truly embody the spirit of Spinz”, Asian Games 2019 winners were felicitated at the Spinz Active Girl 2020 finale.

The decorated achievers feted at the event were Nima Gharti Magar of wushu, Sangita Bashyal of taekwondo, Punam Shrestha of judo, Anu Adhikari of karate and Sanju Chaudhary of weightlifting.

Amit Gupta, the country head for Nepal for CavinKare said “Spinz as brand encourages women to go out and live life to the fullest. We are proud to acknowledge and appreciate these women who have done Nepal proud with their talent and an indomitable ‘active’ spirit.”
