68 persons, 1,000 Vehicles Taken Under Control for Defying Lockdown Order

March 25: Police on Tuesday took under control 68 persons for defying lockdown ordered by the government for preventing the spread of COVID-19.    
The Nepal Police Headquarters shared that they were held from various parts of the country as they did not follow the police suggestion relating to prevention of coronavirus in view of the stay-home order. Kailali police arrested 31 while Kapilvastu 14, Rupandehi seven, Sunsari four, Parsa three, Siraha and Kanchanpur two each and Dhanusha one.    
Similarly, a total of 1,571 vehicles were impounded from different places for defying the lockdown order. The police have been making further enquiry with those defying the order. -- RSS
