NEPSE Gains 2.06 to Close at 1960.81, Turnover Shrinks to Rs 2.14 Billion

May 7: The Nepal Stock Exchange(NEPSE) Index recorded a minimal gain of 2.06 points or 0.10%, closing at 1960.81 on the third trading day of the week on Tuesday.  

During today’s trading session, 314 scrips were traded on the NEPSE through 38,214 transactions. A total of 5,064,038 shares changed their hands, resulting into a total turnover of Rs 2.14 billion.

Pokhara Finance Limited(PFL) took the lead in transaction amount with the total turnover of Rs 8 crores. Himalayan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha(HLBSL) saw the highest gain of 9.99%, closing at a market price of Rs 856 per share.

Conversely, Bottlers Nepal(Terai) Limited (BNT) incurred the maximum loss of 6.23%, closing at a market price of Rs 13,193.70 per share.

In terms of sector indices, all sectors closed in the negative territory except Microfinance Index, Mutual Index, Development Bank Index and Others Index. Microfinance Index experienced the highest gain of 2.43%, while Trading Index lost the maximum at 1.09%.
