KATHMANDU: Preparations for the 'New Business Women Summit and Awards 2024,' to be organized by New Business Age Pvt Ltd, have been completed. New Business Age has been organising this annual event since 2021 to encourage women entrepreneurs and recognize their contributions.

In the run-up to the event scheduled to be held in Kathmandu this Friday, New Business Age conducted training sessions on financial literacy and women entrepreneurship in Butwal and Nepalgunj. The main theme of this year's event is "Empowering Business Leadership of Nepali Women". The event will feature interactions between stakeholders focusing on this topic.

This year, 12 women entrepreneurs will be honored and awarded in six different categories. One woman entrepreneur from each of the seven provinces will receive a cash prize as an 'Emerging Entrepreneurial Woman.'

Additionally, awards will be given to the best social entrepreneur, best female entrepreneur, best businesswoman, and best woman in the technology sector. A Lifetime Achievement Award will also be presented to a woman entrepreneur who has significantly contributed to women's entrepreneurship over a long period.
