Job Description

The Event Director is a key member of the Senior Management team, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer.  He/she is responsible to develop and successfully execute the annual sales plan in line with the company’s annual plan in terms of growth and profit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop annual sales plan including individual objectives and sales targets for each member of the sales team and for all major target industries of the company
  • Identify new potential markets and align team responsibilities accordingly
  • Maintain regular and professional contact to major customers
  • Plan and organize promotional events and activities with the aim to increase sales
  • Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
  • Obtain regular feedback from the market in order to adjust sales plans and activities
  • Monitor competitive activities and ensure a competitive edge
  • Lead the team to encourage maximum productivity

 

Requirements
  • Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
  • Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
  • Understanding of business functions such as HR, IT, Finance and Operations
  • Strong negotiation, presentation and communication skills
  • Strong drive to achieve or exceed results and continuously improve performance
  • At least Bachelors in Business Administration or relevant field; MBA is a plus
