The NADA Auto Show 2024 ended on Sunday (September 2) with electric vehicles (EVs) dominating the sales.
Around 70% of the vehicles booked during the biggest automobiles exhibition of the country were electric, an official from the NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal, the organisers, told NBA.
Over 3,000 vehicles were booked during the six-day long exhibition which began last Tuesday.
The booking of more than 600 vehicles happened on Sunday, the last day, alone.
According to Sipradi Trading, the official dealer in Nepal for the Indian company Tata Motors, there was an encouraging number of bookings for Tata vehicles during the show.
As many as 644 units of Tata vehicles–475 units of Tata Punch EV and 169 units of Tiago EV, were booked in six days, the company said.
Both vehicles were launched during the show.

Punch is an electric SUV available in three variants in the Nepali market, with price ranging from Rs 3.39 to Rs 3.89 million.
While the Punch EV Empowered Plus S MR was priced during the show at Rs 3.39 million, the Punch EV Empowered LR was available at Rs 3.69 million and the Punch EV Empowered Plus SLR at Rs 3.89million.
The Punch EV Empowered Plus S MR is not yet available in the Nepali market.
The company has claimed that the Punch EV is the first product based on pure platform architecture and features the latest technology.
Similarly, Cimex Inc., the official seller of BYD in Nepal, which showcased the BYD ATTO 3.The company said it was highly preferred by the visitors, with numerous bookings.
Cimex claimed that it has already sold around 4,500 units of the car so far.
BYD's Dolphin and Seal models also attracted buyers, Cimex said.
A NADA official mentioned that the Nammi brought to Nepal by MAW Vriddhi, targeting the NADA Auto Show, was among the most preferred cars during the event.
“Nammi is among the cars with the highest bookings.”
Available in the Nepali market in three variants, Nammi E1 is priced at Rs 2.9 million, Nammi E2 at Rs 3.19 million and the Nammi E3 at Rs 3.49 million.
Nammi is a product of the famous Chinese company Dongfeng Motors.
The vehicle with a 70 kW motor provides a range of 310 km. The top speed of the car, according to its manufacturer, is 140 kilometres per hour.
