The Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) is set to host the “8th Nepal Chamber Expo 2025” at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, from January 30 to February 3.
Featuring over 125 stalls, the five-day exhibition is expected to draw more than 50,000 visitors and aims to promote local products while showcasing international-level software and AI projects.
At a press conference held on Monday, January 27, NCC President Kamalesh Kumar Agrawal highlighted the expo’s goal of fostering trade and uniting the business community. “This event seeks to promote Nepali products and strengthen collaboration within the business sector,” Agrawal stated.
The event is being organized in partnership with the Trade and Export Promotion Centre under the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies.
Former NCC President Rajendra Malla emphasized the potential of Nepal's IT industry, advocating its development to serve as a "backup" for international IT companies. Similarly, Sharad Bikram Rana, Executive Director of the Trade and Export Promotion Centre, urged prioritizing domestic software based on Nepal’s production capacity and competitiveness.
Rastra Bhushan Chakubaji, President of the Expo Committee, noted that participation from regional and international business communities would provide insights into global economic trends, technological advancements, and innovative business strategies.
“This year’s expo will place special emphasis on IT products,” said Bigyan Shrestha, Chair of NCC’s IT, Software, and Technology Committee.
The exhibition will feature a wide array of products, including agricultural goods, handicrafts, automobiles, electrical appliances, textiles, furniture, garments, leather products, and more. Exhibitors from Nepal, Bangladesh, India, China, Thailand, UAE, South Korea, Malaysia, and Pakistan are expected to participate.
