Following the widening of sidewalks and the underground placement of utility wires, a new initiative is underway to paint all the buildings along New Road’s Juddha Salik to Indra Chowk stretch in a uniform color. The effort seeks to further beautify the iconic area.
Ward Chairperson Binod Rajbhandari of Kathmandu Metropolitan-24 told New Business Age that the initiative is expected to significantly enhance the visual charm of the locality.
According to Rajbhandari, homeowners have enthusiastically embraced the project, taking the lead and covering all expenses themselves at the request and coordination of the ward office.
The accompanying photos, captured by our photojournalist Sunil Sharma, depict the ongoing painting work in full swing on Monday, January 20.
