June 30: Armed Police Force (APF) has won the Yeti Flooring’s National Women Volleyball Championship. The APF team defeated Nepal Police Club in the straight sets of 25-16, 25-30 and 25-11. The match was held at the National Sports Council covered hall in Tripureshwor on June 29.

In the tournament, Saraswati Chaudhary was announced Best Player of the tournament. Similarly, Prativa Mali of New Diamond was named Best Spiker while Nebica Chaudhary and Binita Budhathoki bragged the title of Best Server and Best Setter respectively. Meanwhile, Usha Bista was named Best Blocker and Kamala Pun of Nepal Police Club was awarded with Best Defender. Likewise, New Diamond won the third place by defeating Paschimanchal.

Kedia Group’s Yeti Flooring as the title sponsor contributed Rs 500,000 and IME Remit contributed Rs 200,000 as co-sponsor in the tournament.
