Bandana Sharma has been awarded the prestigious ‘Ncell Woman Icon ICT Award 2024’ in recognition of her significant contributions to the information technology sector. She received the honor during the recently-held grand finale of the ICT Award 2024.
The award was jointly presented by Karnali Province Chief Minister Yamlal Kandel and Ncell’s Corporate Communication and CSR Head, Bishakha Laxmi Khadka. Along with the award, Sharma, who heads the Card and Digital Banking Division at Nepal Bank, received a cash prize of Rs 300,000.
Sharma, an active professional in the information technology sector for 18 years, is the latest recipient of this award, which celebrates the achievements of women in ICT.
Previous winners of the Ncell Woman Icon ICT Award include Sunaina Ghimire Pandey (2023), Sheela Kansakar Karki (2022), Gunakeshari Pradhan (2021) and Timila Yami (2020).
In addition to presenting this award, the Ncell Foundation said it is committed to initiatives to bridge the education and digital divide, promote cybersecurity, and enhance digital literacy.
