The 26th Flora Expo began in Kathmandu on Friday, March 14, under the theme “Floriculture for a Clean Environment and Economic Prosperity.”
Organized by the Floriculture Association Nepal (FAN), the four-day event at Bhrikutimandap Exhibition Hall was inaugurated by Prakash Shrestha, Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development of Bagmati Province.
The expo features a competition among nursery businesses, highlighting high-quality flowers and ornamental plants. Awards will be presented in categories such as Best Stall, Landscaping, Seasonal Flowers, Ornamental Plants, Flowering Plants, Floral Decoration, and Cut Flowers (including Roses, Gerbera, and Carnations), organizers said.
Plant enthusiasts can explore 82 exhibition and sales stalls, offering a diverse range of floriculture products, including orchids, compost fertilizers, flower bulbs, seeds, greenhouses, agricultural tools, equipment, and packaging materials.
