Buddha Air, a private sector airline company of Nepal, has increased its weekly commercial flights from Kathmandu to Varanasi, India, from two to three. The airline company now operates flights every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from Tribhuvan International Airport.
Issuing a press statement on Wednesday, Buddha Air expressed confidence that the additional flight would further benefit passengers traveling to Varanasi.
In addition, Buddha Holidays, a sister organization of Buddha Air, is offering holiday packages to popular destinations in India, such as Sarnath and Ayodhya. The airline hopes these packages will assist travelers visiting Gaya to perform the Sohra Sraddha, a 16-day Hindu ritual honoring ancestors.
The flight from Kathmandu to Varanasi (also known as Kashi) takes approximately 50 minutes. The introductory one-way fare is set at Rs 11,360.
The Kathmandu-Varanasi flight departs at 7:15 am, while the return flight from Varanasi is scheduled for 8:30 am, Buddha Air informed. -- RSS
