Madan Lamsal, Chairman of New Business Age Ltd., and Editor-in-Chief of New Business Age Magazine and Aarthik Abhiyan National Daily, has been honoured for his contributions to economic journalism.
The Economic Media Association Nepal (EMAN) feted Lamsal during an event in Kathmandu on Friday, March 7, marking its second anniversary and third annual general meeting.
Speaker of the House of Representatives, Devraj Ghimire, who attended the event as the chief guest, conferred the honour upon Lamsal.
“We deeply appreciate your unwavering commitment to highlighting economic challenges and advocating for necessary reforms, thereby elevating the significance of economic journalism,” states the certificate of honor. “Acknowledging the invaluable contributions of both you and your organization to the economic media industry, we take immense pride in presenting this recognition on the occasion of EMAN’s second anniversary and third annual general meeting.”
In his remarks, Lamsal emphasized the intrinsic link between the private sector and the media, highlighting their mutual dependence in fostering growth and development.
