Changan Nepal, the official distributor of the Chinese brand cars for Nepal, is set to unveil the highly anticipated Deepal L07 premium electric sedan at the upcoming NADA Auto Show 2024 after the remarkable success of the Deepal S07 in the country.
The company claimed that the S07, launched just four months ago, quickly captivated the Nepali market with its futuristic design and cutting-edge features. Building on this momentum, the Deepal L07 is expected to elevate automotive technology and design to new heights, reads a statement issued by Changan Nepal.
The Deepal L07 is a design marvel, crafted in Turin, Italy—a city celebrated for its rich automotive heritage, the company said. This electric sedan has already garnered international acclaim, securing the prestigious Red Dot Award 2023, often dubbed the "Oscars of Design."
“Its sleek, aerodynamic silhouette is complemented by frameless doors and an electric hidden door handle system. A panoramic glass roof adds a touch of luxury, offering an expansive and open driving experience,” reads the statement.
The company claimed that the L07 stands out as a true innovation in terms of technology. It boasts of gesture control, enabling drivers to manage functions like music, phone calls, and photography with simple hand movements, added the statement.
According to Changan Nepal, the Augmented Reality Head-Up Display (AR-HUD) provides real-time navigation and crucial driving information, enhancing both safety and convenience.
The L07 is powered by the EPA1 platform, designed specifically for electric vehicles, and features a 66.8 kWh battery that delivers an impressive range of up to 540 kilometers on a single charge. This makes it a perfect blend of luxury and long-distance capability. Its rear-wheel-drive system ensures balanced performance, while an advanced digital battery management system optimizes energy efficiency, the company further said.
Inside, the L07 offers a 15.6-inch Sunflower Touchscreen that interacts with passengers and a welcoming seat that automatically adjusts to the driver's height upon entry. The sedan also provides a 70-liter "frunk" (front trunk) space, offering ample storage at both the front and rear. The 19-inch tires not only enhance the vehicle's aesthetics but also improve its overall performance.
The L07 features four driving modes—Eco, Comfort, Sport, and Customize—allowing drivers to personalize their driving experience.
The company said that safety remains a top priority with advanced features such as Interactive Adaptive Cruise Control, Intelligent ADAS 2.5, six airbags, Automatic Emergency Braking, Driver Fatigue Monitoring System, Safe Distance Warning, 360-degree cameras with Transparent Chassis, a drive video recorder, and distraction warnings.
MAW Vriddhi Autocorp, the official distributor of Changan Nepal brand, is confident that the Deepal L07 will set new benchmarks in automotive technology and design in Nepal, following the trailblazing success of the S07. The NADA Auto Show 2024 promises to be a milestone event for the brand and the country's automotive industry.
