A delegation of Chinese investors met with Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies, Damodar Bhandari, on Wednesday to explore potential investment opportunities in Nepal. During the meeting, the investors discussed the country’s investment climate and showed interest in various industrial sectors, according to Ananda Bhatta, Minister Bhandari's personal secretary.
Minister Bhandari assured the Chinese investors that Nepal offers a favorable investment environment, with no legal or policy barriers in sectors such as agriculture, hydropower, tourism, education, and information technology. "The Government of Nepal is committed to ensuring security for all investments in the country," he stated.
He also mentioned ongoing efforts to establish a Chinese-invested industry in Panchkhal, Kavre, and assured that the government would provide adequate land for the project.
Yin Liubing, the leader of the Chinese delegation, expressed their intention to invest in Nepal. Secretary Krishna Bahadur Raut further reassured the delegation that they need not worry about legal complexities, as company registration can be completed easily through Nepal's online system. -- RSS
