The Department of Drug Administration (DDA) has ordered the immediate withdrawal of two medicines—Pilpan 40mg and Stop 40mg tablets—citing quality concerns.
According to the state-run news agency RSS, the drugs, commonly prescribed to reduce stomach acid, were found to be substandard during sample tests conducted at the National Medicine Laboratory.
In its directive, the DDA instructed all concerned parties to refrain from prescribing, distributing, or using the two products and called for their urgent removal from pharmacies and medical outlets nationwide.
