June 6: Everest Bank Limited (EBL) has brought chip-based EMV standard Visa Credit Card service. The service was unveiled by the Chairman of the bank BK Shrestha and Ram S Sangapure, the Executive Director of Punjab National Bank, India.
“We are happy to start this new service. After the start of the service, customers will not only get secured card service but also easy and safe banking service,” said AK Ahluwalia, Chief Executive Officer of EBL. “Visa Credit Card service will also protect the personal secrecy of the customers,” added Ahluwalia.
“Under the service, the card users will get interest free loan up to 45 days,” informs the bank in a press statement. The card can be used in Nepal and India. “The chip-based Visa Debit Cards are issued as per Nepal Rastra Bank’s guidelines,” reads the statement.
The bank has been providing its services through 61 branches, five extension counters, 24 revenue collection counters and 85 ATMs.
