After reaching a record high every day since last Friday, gold became cheaper by Rs 600 per tola in the domestic market on Tuesday (September 17).
With the latest adjustment by the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of hallmark gold has come down to Rs 156,700 per tola (11.66 grams), down from Rs 157,300 on Monday.
The federation fixes the price of gold on the basis of the price in the international market. The yellow metal is being traded at around $2,579 per ounce, a 3.2 percent rise in the last 30 days.
Similarly, silver prices also dipped by Rs 10 per tola. It is being traded at Rs 1,905 per tola, down from Rs 1,915 per tola the day before.
