After setting a new record on Friday, gold became cheaper by Rs 1,200 per tola on Sunday (September 8) in the domestic market.
With the declice, the hallmark gold is being traded at Rs 152,100 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Associations.
The precious yellow metal, whose price had remained steady at Rs 152,000 from Monday to Thursday last week, became dearer by Rs 1,300 per tola (11.66 grams) to be traded at Rs 153,300 on Friday.
Earlier on August 21, gold price had touched the Rs 153,000 per tola-mark for the first time.
Similarly, silver’s price has been set at Rs 1,750 per tola on Sunday, Rs 45 per tola cheaper than that on Friday.
