Gold prices in the domestic market of Nepal have surged in line with the international market, reaching an all-time high on Tuesday. The price of gold has been continuously rising for the past four trading days.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, gold, which was priced at Rs 177,900 per tola (11.66 grams) on Monday, has risen by Rs 1,800 to reach Rs 179,700 today, April 1.
Meanwhile, silver prices remain unchanged at Rs 2,035 per tola.
The Federation stated that gold is currently being traded at $3,140 per ounce in the international market. The continuous rise in gold prices in the local market is attributed to the strengthening of the US dollar and increasing domestic demand. The federation fixes the price of gold based on the price in the international market. -- RSS
