A surge in global gold prices has directly impacted Nepal’s domestic market, pushing gold to a new all-time high in the country.
Gold prices have been rising steadily in recent days. On Tuesday, the price jumped by Rs 6,900 per tola (11.66 grams) compared to the previous day, setting a new record. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, gold is now being traded at Rs 197,900 per tola—up from Rs 191,000 on Monday.
The price of silver has also seen an uptick, increasing by Rs 10 per tola. The Federation has set the price of silver at Rs 1,970 per tola for the day.
In the international market, gold is currently trading at USD 3,479 per ounce. -- RSS
