The price of gold in the domestic market of Nepal surged by Rs 900 per tola (11.66 grams) on Wednesday, November 20.
With the latest increase, fine gold is being traded at Rs 163,000 per tola, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association (Fenegosida).
Earlier on October 31, gold broke the all-time record in the domestic market, hitting Rs 171,000 per tola.
The precious yellow metal has risen by Rs 3,000 per tola so far this week. On Sunday, the price dropped by Rs 100 per tola to Rs 160,000, but it rebounded by increasing Rs 1,000 on Monday, Rs 1,100 on Tuesday, and Rs 900 on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the price of silver saw a marginal decline on Wednesday, falling by Rs 5 per tola to Rs 1,950.
