The price of gold in the domestic market of Nepal decreased by Rs 800 per tola (11.66 grams) on Thursday, compared to that on Wednesday.
The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association, which fixes the bullion prices on the basis of international market rates, has fixed the price of hallmark gold at Rs 155,600 per tola on Thursday. This marks the decline for the third consecutive day.
On September 16, fine gold was traded at Rs 157,300 per tola, the highest ever recorded price in Nepal’s history.
The price of yellow metal has surged in the international market of late.
Similarly, the price of silver has also dropped by Rs 10 per tola to be traded at Rs 1,880 per tola for the day.
