Gold and silver have become dearer by Rs 100 and Rs 5 per tola (11.66 grams), respectively, in the domestic market on Monday.
With the rise, hallmark gold is being traded at Rs 152,200, compared to Rs 152,100 a day ago, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Association.
Similarly, the price of silver has been set at Rs 1,755 per tola.
After reaching a record high of Rs 153,300 per tola last Friday, the precious yellow metal became cheaper by Rs 1,200 per tola on Sunday.
Prior to this fluctuation, the price of gold had remained stable at Rs 152,000 per tola for four days until last Thursday.
