July 1:Gurkhas Finance Limited has relocated its Putalisadak branch to New Road. The relocated branch which has become operational from June 29 is stationed at New Road Gate. The branch was inaugurated by the bank’s Chairman Mahendra Lal Rai. Speaking at the program, Rai informed that the bank will relocate Dudhapati branch to Suryabinayak and Dhulabari branch of Jhapa to Birtamod of the same district within this month. Gurkha Development Bank and Kathmandu Finance merged to form Gurkhas Finance. After the merger, the bank has Rs 578.6 million in paid-up capital, Rs 2.25 billion in deposits and Rs 2.39 billion in loans.
The finance has main branch in Charkhal, Kathmandu and other nine branches across the country. With its central office in Dillibazar, the finance is planning to open three branches in across the country including the Kathmandu valley soon. The Finance has also started the ATM service and mobile banking. “Gurkhas Finance will also provide the internet banking in the coming days,” said the company in a press statement.
