Himalaya Airlines has announced the launch of a weekly flight connecting Pokhara and Lhasa, starting March 31. The service aims to strengthen air connectivity between Nepal and China, with plans to increase frequency based on demand.
Initially, the airline will operate a weekly flight on the Kathmandu-Lhasa-Pokhara-Lhasa-Kathmandu route.
According to the schedule, the Kathmandu-Lhasa flight (H9 774) will depart from Tribhuvan International Airport at 8:30 AM (Nepali time) on March 31, arriving at Lhasa Gonggar Airport at 12:05 PM (Chinese time).
The Lhasa-Pokhara flight (H9 731) will depart Lhasa at 1:15 PM (Chinese time) and land in Pokhara at 12:45 PM (Nepali time) on the same day.
The return flight (H9 732) will leave Pokhara International Airport at 8:20 AM (Nepali time) on April 1, arriving in Lhasa at 12:05 PM (Chinese time). The final leg, Lhasa-Kathmandu (H9 775), will depart Lhasa at 1:15 PM (Chinese time) and land in Kathmandu at 12:35 PM (Nepali time) the same day.

Established in 2014, Himalaya Airlines (H9) is a joint venture between Tibetan Civil Aviation Development and Investment Company Ltd. (TCADIC) and Yeti World Investment Pvt. Ltd.
“The Pokhara-Lhasa flight underscores our commitment to connecting Nepal with the world, facilitating cultural exchange, and promoting tourism in both destinations,” the airline stated.
Vijay Shrestha, Vice President of Himalaya Airlines, highlighted the airline’s long-term mission to expand its services to 10 key tourism sectors in China and attract one million Chinese tourists to Nepal.

Bookings for the Kathmandu-Lhasa-Pokhara-Lhasa-Kathmandu flights are now open through the airline’s ticketing counters, authorized travel partners, official website, and mobile application.
