April 16: Himalayan Bank Limited (HBL) and International Finance Corporation (IFC), a World Bank Group, have entered into a Mandate Letter agreement on April 11. As per the agreement, IFC will be providing financial resources to provide financial access to ‘Banking on Women Program’ through HBL.
Issuing a press statement, HBL said its CEO Ashoke SJB Rana and M Rehan Rashid, country head of IFC, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations. The arrangement shall facilitate women entrepreneurs to establish/run micro, small and medium scale enterprises, the bank said.
