The 5th edition of the Himalayan Travel Mart (HTM), Nepal’s premier international travel and tourism trade show, is set to take place in Kathmandu from June 3 to 5.
The event is being organized by the PATA Nepal Chapter in collaboration with the Nepal Tourism Board, Nepal Airlines, and several national and international tourism associations and partner organizations.
This year’s HTM holds special significance as it coincides with the Golden Jubilee of the PATA Nepal Chapter, marking 50 years of its contributions to Nepal’s tourism development and international outreach. The inaugural day will also commemorate the 75th anniversary of the first ascent of Mount Annapurna by French mountaineer Maurice Herzog. His family will be visiting Nepal to honor the occasion, according to a press release issued by PATA Nepal Chapter on Monday.
Held annually in June, HTM is Nepal’s flagship tourism trade show, offering a platform for networking, business exchange, and industry insights among global tourism and hospitality stakeholders.
The 2025 edition will bring together a diverse group of global buyers and sellers, travel bloggers, influencers, industry leaders, high-profile speakers, international and national media, and tourism professionals. Organisers expect more than 700 delegates from over 30 countries, including more than 100 international guests and strong participation from Nepal's public and private tourism sectors.
Under the theme “Nepal: Gateway to the Himalayas,” this year’s HTM aims to position Nepal as a year-round travel destination. The event will feature insightful conference sessions, destination marketing efforts, and B2B meetings between registered sellers and hosted buyers. -- RSS
