The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has said it will expand its investment in Nepal.
IFC Regional Director for South Asia, Imad N Fakhoury, made the remark during his meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel on Tuesday (September 10), reported Rastriya Samachar Samiti, the state-owned news agency, citing the minister's secretariat.
The IFC had invested USD 100 million in Nepal.
Promoting green energy, job creation, and economic engagement are the priorities of the IFC, said Fakhoury, adding that they are committed to investing more in Nepal.
Minister Paudel told the IFC representative to consider scaling up investment in Nepal, much needed to improve the economy, accoridng to his secretariat.
