IME Group has launched ila Comfort, a luxury hotel in Baglung Bazaar, designed to offer high-end facilities for visitors traveling along the Kali Gandaki Corridor and Mid-Hill Highway in the Gandaki region.
The hotel was officially inaugurated on Saturday, February 1, by Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Pandey.
Speaking at the event, Minister Pandey commended IME Group’s contributions to tourism infrastructure across Nepal, emphasizing its role in enhancing the hospitality sector.
Krishna Pathak, Minister for Health of Gandaki Province, encouraged the group to expand its investments further within the province to boost tourism and economic growth.
IME Group’s Chairman, Chandra Prasad Dhakal, who also serves as President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), expressed confidence that the newly established hotel would play a significant role in the region's tourism development. He reaffirmed the group’s commitment to investing in hotels and cable cars across all seven provinces, aiming to create domestic employment opportunities and reduce the outflow of Nepalese workers seeking jobs abroad.

At the event, Federal Parliament members Deepak Giri and Jeevan Pariyar, Baglung Municipality Mayor Basanta Shrestha, and Baglung Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Naresh Kandel echoed similar sentiments, highlighting the hotel’s role in strengthening tourism infrastructure in Baglung.
With an investment of Rs 300 million, ila Comfort is expected to redefine luxury hospitality standards in Baglung. Spanning four ropani of land, the hotel boasts 30 elegantly designed rooms, including 27 guest rooms, two luxurious suites, and an exclusive penthouse.
Sachin Dhakal, Head of ila Hotels & Resorts, stated that ila Comfort would offer a transformative hospitality experience, ensuring that guests leave with lasting memories.
Strategically located just 1.5 hours from Pokhara Airport, the hotel provides seamless access for both domestic and international travelers. Regular public transport services between Pokhara and Baglung further enhance its accessibility.
ila Comfort Baglung represents the first phase of the ila Hotels & Resorts expansion strategy. The group is also preparing to launch another ila Hotel in Gaindakot, Nawalparasi, with plans to extend its hospitality services across all seven provinces in the future.
