The Federation of Women Entrepreneurs Nepal is all set to organize the 8th edition of the International Women’s Trade Fair from March 27.
The five-day event, running until March 31, aims to promote and market goods and services produced by women entrepreneurs. Announcing the event at a press conference in Kathmandu on Wednesday, the federation highlighted its objectives and preparations for the trade fair.
Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will inaugurate the fair, which will be held at the Heritage Garden in Lalitpur, according to federation president Shobha Gyawali. The event will feature 144 sales stalls, with an estimated 60,000 visitors and an expected turnover of Rs 22.5 million.
The fair will include six types of stalls showcasing environmentally friendly products, handicrafts, agriculture, trade and services, food, and international products. The event is supported by the Government of Nepal and various NGOs.
More than 5,500 women entrepreneurs affiliated with the District Associations of Women Entrepreneurs are expected to benefit directly or indirectly from the fair. The federation, which operates in 72 districts, is leading the event’s organization.
