Apple is introducing a wireless recovery system for iPhone 16, allowing users to restore their devices without needing a Mac or PC.
This feature, already available for Apple Watch and Apple TV, simplifies the recovery process using another iOS device.
The new capability, set to debut with iOS 18 set to debut with iOS 18, enables iPhone 16 owners to recover their devices by simply placing them next to another iPhone or iPad running the latest operating system.
According to findings from 9to5Mac, the wireless recovery process uses a dedicated partition on iPhone 16 models, making it possible to initiate restoration even when the main iOS system is non-functional. – QNA/RSS
