Landslides and mudslides have blocked the BP Highway at three different locations, disrupting vehicular movement. According to the District Police Office, Dhulikhel, efforts to clear the road have been ongoing since Tuesday morning.
As per the office, floodwaters from a swollen stream eroded the road in Mamti, located in Roshi Rural Municipality–11 of Kavre district. Similarly, a mudslide from the Khahare Khola in Roshi–9 blocked another section of the highway on Monday night.

Meanwhile, another mudslide occurred in Biruwadanda of the same ward, further obstructing the highway, said Min Bahadur Ghale, the information officer at the District Police Office. He added that efforts to reopen the road are underway in coordination with local representatives.
Earlier, on July 9, the road in Biruwadanda had also been blocked due to similar causes.
The highway in various sections of Roshi has frequently been affected by mudslides following continuous rainfall since Sunday. Although the debris was cleared using excavators and two-way traffic resumed on Monday morning, the highway—particularly in the Pinthali area—has experienced repeated blockages. Pinthali saw disruptions earlier on June 30, July 9, and July 10.
