TU Publishes LLB Second Year Results
Tribhuvan University (TU) has published the examination result of LLB Second year 2013. TU’s Office of the Controller of Examination, Balkhu published results of the examination held during April-May, 2013, on Tuesday, 31st December.
BPKIHS Tenth Convocation Ceremony in February
BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS), Dharan is going to hold its 10th convocation ceremony on 4thFebruary 2014. The ceremony will be held on the BPKIHS premises itself. The institute has called on all it’s passed out students of 2009/2010 batch of MD/MS programme, 2006 /2007 batch of MBBS programme for participating in the ceremony that is scheduled to start from 11 am. Along with that BSc Nursing, BSc MLT, BSc OT, MPH have been also notified to be present at the time. A notice issued by the institution has asked for submitting applications for the ceremony by January 29, 2014.
Students Padlock STA
Students have padlocked the administration office of the Seti Technical Academy (STA), Doti for an indefinite period from Thursday, January 2. Agitating students padlocked the administrative office demanding sufficient educational resources in the institute. Students have said that they wont open the locks unless their demands are addressed by the campus administration. Classes as well as administrative work at the institute have been halted following the lockout.
The campus provides three-year diploma in engineering, ISc (Ag), ANM, Agriculture and Veterinary JTA courses. Around 400 students are studying at present in the institution.
Motor Rally to Promote Literacy
Rotary Club of Bagmati organized a motor rally on January 2 to promote literacy.The rally began from Tundikhel, Kathmandu and ended at Water Front Resort, Pokhara. Besides promoting literacy, the programme also aimed at encouraging safe driving, as the winner of the competition were decided on the basis of other factors rather than driving speed. To make the event more effective, the organizers had also designed a competition where the participants were judged on the basis of creativity they put in for decorating their cars with artworks that reflected the theme of literacy.In 2005 the Club had organized similar motor rally to promote anti-tobacco and anti-smoking awareness.
CIAA Committees to Investigate School Funds
Three Committees have been formed by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) to investigate schools in six districts that are out of operation but still receiving the government funds. The committees have been assigned to investigate schools in Sarlahi, Rautahat, Dhanusha, Mahottari, Bara and Parsa district.
A committee led by CIAA Joint-secretary Ramkrishna Subedi is said to be studying the schools in Sarlahi and Rautahat while another led by DSP Sudarshan Koirala will inspect schools in Dhanusha and Mahottari. A three-member team led by an under-secretary at the CIAA regional office, Bidurraj Giri will be investigating Bara and Parsa districts.
