July 17: LPG consumers can exchange their brand of gas cylinders from July 17. Kathmandu residents who were forced to buy cooking gas cylinders of the companies based outside the valley during the last year’s fuel crisis will be able to exchange them for local brands designated by the Nepal LP Gas Industry Association.
According to the association, seven various industries can exchange the gas cylinders. Everest and Sugam Gas at Balkhu will exchange the cylinders of Shakti, Sahara, Mechi, Trishakti, Kankai, Rijal ko Bhanchha, Kamakhya and Prima brands from July 17. Likewise, Shree Ram Gas will exchange the cylinders of Koshi, Noble and Janaki brands from Harisiddhi of Lalitpur. Similarly, Manoj Gas will exchange the cylinders of Jagadamba, Super, Leo and Ambar brands from Kalanki.
As per the association, Sagarmatha Gas will exchange the cylinders of Rapti, Bheri, New Bheri, Manakamana, Adesh and Radiant brands from Pepsicola. Nepal Gas will exchange cylinders of Narayani brand from Balaju. It is also informed that, the consumers can exchange cylinders of Arati, Swastik and Butwal brands from Lumbini Gas from Bafal. Issuing a press statement, the Association informed of initaing the facility as the dealers are charging huge sum from consumers while exchanging the brand of gas cylinders. The association informs that the consumers can exchange gas cylinders of mentioned brands for free from July 17 to July 22.
