Lumbini Ceramics Limited, Nepal’s first and only manufacturer of vitrified tiles under the brand name Laminar Tiles, has unveiled Jay Gorkhali Tiles and Marble Suppliers, based in Ratnanagar, Chitwan, as its first exclusive dealer.
The dealership was inaugurated amid an event by Shankar Giri, President of the Ratnanagar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Abhinav Churiwal, Director of Lumbini Ceramics.
The newly launched Jay Gorkhali Tiles and Marble Suppliers showroom operates under the premium “Emporio” category, which features the complete collection of Lumbini Ceramics’ products.
Lumbini Ceramics began formal production of its tiles earlier this year in November.
To ensure widespread availability of its products across Nepal, the company has already established a network of over 100 dealers and distributors.
Director Abhinav Churiwal emphasized that the launch of the first franchise showroom in Chitwan marks the start of Lumbini Ceramics' ambitious plan to establish over 50 exclusive showrooms by 2025.
“We are delighted to launch our first franchise showroom in Chitwan. This milestone reflects our commitment to providing Nepalese consumers with locally manufactured, world-class vitrified tiles. We thank Jay Gorkhali Tiles and Marble Suppliers for their trust and partnership as we embark on this journey,” Churiwal said. “This inauguration is the first step toward achieving many milestones for Lumbini Ceramics in the years to come.”
The tiles are produced at a state-of-the-art facility spanning 12.5 bighas in Gulariya, Bardiya. Equipped with advanced European technology, the facility produces tiles in over 500 attractive designs and four sizes: 16x16 inches, 2x2 feet, 2x4 feet, and 8x4 inches.
With up to 99.92 percent water resistance, laminar tiles are up to three times more durable than ceramic and other tiles, according to its manufacturers.
