March 5: Machhapuchhre Bank Ltd has appointed Arjun Thapa as its acting chief executive officer.

A meeting of the board of directors of the bank held on last Wednesday, February 28 appointed Thapa to the post. Thapa was appointed after the meeting approved the resignation of Niraj Kumar Shrestha effective from March 7. 

The bank informed that Thapa will take charge of the post until the next decision.
