NEPCO Entertainment in collaboration with the Federation of Women Entrepreneurs’ Association of Nepal (FWEAN), is set to organise the ‘Made in Nepal Expo 2024’ in Melbourne, Australia.
This exhibition, with the theme “Empower Entrepreneurs, Enhance Nation's Economy” will take place at 495 Lygon St, Brunswick East VIC 3057, Melbourne, on December 14 and 15 from 10 AM to 5 PM local time, according to the organisers.
“This is probably the first time that any organisation based in Nepal is organising such an expo in a foreign country,” Basanti Pradhan, the Third Vice President of FWEAN, told New Business Age.
According to Pradhan, the event aims to promote Nepali products made from local materials, skills, and technology, offering attendees a unique opportunity to explore the quality and creativity that Nepal has to offer.
“The expo will help Nepali entrepreneurs expand their products into international markets,” she added. “While the event is an opportunity for female entrepreneurs, it is also open to products from male entrepreneurs.”
Additionally, the event will promote Nepal's tourism, encouraging international tourists to visit the country.
“The main target audience for the expo will be the Nepali diaspora,” she said.
