The “Make in Nepal Expo 2025” and “Nepal Pashmina International Expo 2081” began at the Exhibition Hall in Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu on Thursday, January 23.
It will continue until Saturday, January 25.
Inaugurated by Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Damodar Bhandari, the opening ceremony saw the participation of FNCCI President Chandra Dhakal; EU Ambassador to Nepal, Veronique Lorenzo; President of CNI, Rajesh Agrawal; Executive Director of Trade and Export Promotion Centre, Sharad Bikram Rana; and President of Nepal Pashmina Industries Association, Dhan Prasad Lamichhane, among others.
Organized by the Nepal Pashmina Industries Association in collaboration with the Confederation of Nepalese Industries (CNI) and managed by Rising Nepal Pvt. Ltd., these events aim to spotlight Nepali products as part of the “Our Products, Our Pride” campaign.
The Make in Nepal Expo focuses on promoting diverse local goods to encourage national pride in domestic production, while the Nepal Pashmina International Expo emphasizes the premium quality and authenticity of Nepali Pashmina to enhance its global recognition.
The events will bring together entrepreneurs, business leaders, exporters, and policymakers to explore new markets, identify growth opportunities, and attract foreign investment.
Key highlights of the events include over 150 stalls showcasing domestic goods and services; more than 40 stalls featuring premium Nepali Pashmina; special showcases of Nepali handicrafts, agricultural products, and local goods; live demonstrations of traditional manufacturing processes, from weaving Pashmina to producing indigenous attire; and fashion shows spotlighting Nepali clothing and Pashmina products.
Organizers expect more than 20,000 visitors to attend, making these expos significant platforms for promoting Nepali products.
