February 27: Muktinath Bikas Bank has opened a branch at New Road-based Dev Plaza in Kathmandu. Former governor of Nepal Rastra Bank Tilak Bahadur Rawal inaugurated the branch amid a function on Sunday, February 25.
Speaking about the bank's status and its future plans at the function, the bank's CEO Bharat Raj Dhakal said that the bank will strive to establish itself as a leading bank by extending its branches in places which require banking services and lending to the productive sector.
With the opening of the new branch, the bank has altogether 74 branches including 9 branches inside Kathmandu valley.
As of mid-February 2018, the bank's total deposit portfolio has reached Rs 21.92 billion and loan portfolio of Rs 20.1 billion, reads a press statement issued by the bank.
