Ncell, a leading private sector telecommunication service provider in Nepal, has achieved the ISO 27001:2022 (Information Security Management System - ISMS) and ISO 27701:2019 (Privacy Information Management System - PIMS) certifications.
This milestone makes Ncell the first telecommunications company in Nepal to receive these prestigious accreditations, for the company’s outstanding services related to data centers, customer service operations, and IT services.
“Achieving these global accreditations is a result of our continuous efforts to strengthen information security and privacy management,” Jabor Kayumov, Ncell’s CEO and managing director said in a statement.
According to Ncell, the certifications demonstrate its commitment to maintaining the highest standards of customer data security and privacy. Customers can be assured that their personal and sensitive information will be handled responsibly and securely.
The ISO 27001 certification validates that Ncell has implemented robust measures to protect customer and partner data from cyber threats and unauthorized access, the statement added. Similarly, ISO 27701 ensures that personal data is safeguarded, the risk of breaches is minimized, and international best practices in privacy management are followed.
“These accreditations underscore our dedication to providing secure and reliable services to our customers,” the company said in the press release.
