April 9: Nepal Life Insurance Company has started operation of regional office in Pokhara. “NLIC established the regional office in Pokhara in a bid to make insurance accessible to rural areas,” said Bibek Jha, CEO of the company. “The company has been establishing regional offices to meet its objective of promoting insurance services to all sectors of the nation,” he added. “The Pokhara regional office is 6 th opening of the company.”
With the opening, NLIC is providing its insurance services through six regional offices and 110 branches and sub-branches. The company is a leading insurance company of the nation with a paid-up capital of Rs 3.08 billion. NLIC has already met the minimum paid-up capital of Rs 2 billion beforehand, required by Insurance board, the insurance sector regulatory body of the country.
