The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index gained 4.98 points on Sunday, November 17 to close at 2753.76 points. It had gained 13.95 points last Thursday, after ending in red for the two consecutive trading days.
Daily turnover continued to rise on Sunday, exceeding Rs 11.72 billion compared to Rs 10.32 billion last Thursday.
More than 24 million shares were exchanged through 113,252 transactions during the session.
The Float and Sensitive Float indices surged 0.12 and 0.01 percent, while the Sensitive index dropped 0.02 percent.
Unnati Sahakarya Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (USLB) and Swabhimaan Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (SMFBS) became the top gainers of the day by hitting the upper circuit limit. They were closely followed by Upper Hewakhola Hydropower Company Limited (UHEWA) which saw a 9.99 percent increase in their share prices.
On the contrary, Samriddhi Finance Company Limited (SFCL) and Gurans Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (GLBSL) became the biggest losers, both hitting the negative circuit limit.
In terms of turnover, Ngadi Group Power Ltd. (NGPL) led the pack, followed by Samriddhi Finance Company Limited (SFCL).
Out of the 13 NEPSE sub-indices, nine ended in the green. The Hotel and Tourism Index saw the highest gain of 2.21 percent, while the Finance Index recorded the steepest decline of 1.63 percent.
