Nepal Investment Mega Bank’s (NIMB) entire banking system has been down nationwide since Thursday morning, disrupting ATM withdrawals, mobile banking, and e-banking services. Customers have also been unable to withdraw cash in person at the bank's branches.
NIMB officials confirmed the outage and said efforts are underway to restore services as soon as possible. A representative from the bank’s Baluwakhani branch told New Business Age that the system is expected to be operational by 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 6.
The bank’s customer care unit also acknowledged the issue and assured that restoration efforts are ongoing. However, officials declined to disclose the cause of the disruption despite repeated inquiries.
