Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has raised the prices of petrol, diesel, kerosene, and aviation fuel, effective from Saturday, February 1.
As per the revised rates, the price of petrol has increased by Rs 2 per liter, while diesel and kerosene prices have risen by Rs 4 per liter each. The price of aviation fuel for domestic flights has gone up by Rs 6 per liter, while international aviation fuel in Kathmandu has been increased by $43 per kiloliter.
With this adjustment, petrol now costs Rs 164.50 per liter in the first category, Rs 166 in the second, and Rs 167 in the third. Diesel and kerosene prices are now Rs 157.50, Rs 159, and Rs 160 per liter, respectively, across the three categories.
NOC has categorized its distribution depots into three groups: Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhgunj, Bhalwari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj fall under the first category; Surkhet and Dang in the second; and Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal in the third.
Meanwhile, the price of liquefied petroleum (LP) gas remains unchanged.
Similarly, aviation fuel is now priced at Rs 132 per liter for domestic flights, while international flights will be charged $1,003 per kiloliter. The prices of aviation fuel for international use in Pokhara and Bhairahawa have been fixed at the break even point.
