Nepal Oil Corporation has decreased the price of diesel, kerosene oil and aviation fuel effective from Tuesday, April 1. The prices of petrol and cooking gas (LPG) however remain unchanged.
The NOC Board Meeting held on Monday decided to reduce price of diesel and kerosene oil by Rs 2 per litre and aviation fuel by Rs 7 per litre as well as international aviation fuel by US dollars 51 per kiloleter, the state-run oil monopoly said in a statement.
With the latest adjustment, diesel and kerosene oil will now cost Rs 146.50 per litre in the first category, which includes Charali, Biratnagar, Janakpur, Amlekhganj, Bhalwari, Nepalgunj, Dhangadhi, and Birgunj.
In the second category which includes Surkhet and Dang, diesel and kerosene will be priced at Rs 148 per litre.
In the third category, which includes Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Dipayal, the prices of diesel and kerosene have been fixed at Rs 149 per litre each.
The price of domestic aviation fuel has been fixed at Rs 125 per litre. The NOC has determined the price of international aviation fuel at USD 952 per kiloliter in Kathmandu, USD 782 per kiloliter in Pokhara and USD 767 per kiloliter in Bhairahawa, the statement added.
NOC stated that the prices of diesel, kerosene oil and aviation fuel have been adjusted as per the new price list received on Monday from India Oil Corporation.
