Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has launched a service for the public to exchange clean notes starting today, ahead of the Dashain festival.
According to NRB Deputy Spokesperson Dr. Dilliram Pokhrel, the service will be available until October 8 at the central bank’s head office and provincial offices, as well as at branches of all banks and financial institutions.
Pokhrel stated that individuals can exchange up to Rs 18,500 worth of notes in denominations of five, ten, twenty, fifty, and one hundred rupees per person at any accessible bank or financial institution. -- RSS
